For terminally ill cancer patients, mainstream medicine uses the term “Palliative care.” This terminology is clear and eloquent, but it implies that the person no longer has any hope of survival. For ordinary people, and especially for the patient, it is certainly the warning of certain DEATH, therefore, on a psychological and psycho-physical level, it is the most DEPRESSING imaginable.
The SURVEY aims to gather suggestions for a different, less aggressive terminology. The results will be submitted to the World Health Organization (WHO), so that it can be considered a “NEW NAME” for this phase of treatment, leaving every door open to hope.

Questa terminologia è chiara ed eloquente, ma sottintende che la pesona non ha più alcuna speranza di vita. Per la gente comune, e soprattutto per il malato, è certamente l’avviso di una MORTE certa, quindi, a livello psicologico e psico-fisico è quanto di più DEPRIMENTE si possa immaginare.
Il SONDAGGIO vuole raccogliere proposte per una terminologia differente e meno aggressiva. I risultati, saranno proposti all’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità (OMS), affinchè possa essere considerato un “NUOVO NOME” per questa fase di cure, lasciando aperta ogni porta alla speranza.
